The role
We are looking for an experienced, full-time roofer to join our expanding team. As a roof laborer/repair technician, you will construct safe and durable roofs for our residential and commercial clients. You will also fix damaged roof parts like broken shingles.
Our office is located in Plant City, FL. All applicants MUST live in Plant City or nearby areas such as Lakeland, Brandon, Valrico, Winter Haven, or Auburndale.
Day to day
Job responsibilities

Build roofs using various materials and tools

Deliver projects within goal timeline

Inspect damages and estimate costs of labor

Repair or replace broken materials

Remove debris from roofs to place materials

Smooth out roof surfaces and fill in edges with cement
-
Ensure each roof protects buildings from weather conditions such as rain and wind

Follow safety rules

Set up vapor barriers and vents
-
Install insulation and solar energy systems as needed

Restock roofing materials such as clay and cement
What it takes
Requirements
-
Experience as a roofer for 3+ years

Excellent carpentry skills
-
Experience using various hand tools and equipment such as scaffolds, shingle cutters, and roofing hatchets while taking safety rules into consideration

Ability to handle materials like wood or asphalt for different roofing styles and tasks
-
Physical strength and good balance
-
Ability to work at heights for long hours

An apprenticeship or license in roofing or relevant field is a plus

Reliable transportation to our Plant City location
